Copperhead rescued from ensuite in Pakenham
This crafty snake eluded The Snakehandler Team for almost a whole day, in what appeared to be an almost fully sealed ensuite with no visible escape routes or holes. After the toilet being removed and tiles ripped up to search around the pipes for this snake, it took peace and quiet for the snake to reveal its sneaky hiding spot in a small hole next to the vanity unit.

After a whole day trapped in his hidey hole the copperhead was the next day released back into its native habitat where it immediately headed for the water and rehydration.

Patriotic tiger snake removed from under a couch
Australia day and soaring temperatures saw a busy day for The Snakehandler Team, beginning by rescuing a tiger snake from a bird aviary where he had been happily snacking on nestlings, and ending with another separate tiger under a couch in a Research families lounge room.

Not quite clear what all the fuss was about this snake was released once the temperature had come down near a local river where it headed straight for the water and apparent safety.
